Gustavus Adolphus College

In high school I was pretty active. I was in basketball, volleyball, SADD, and CLASS. I worked at a collection agency throughout my junior and senior years which was very interesting and fun. Let's just say that I learned a lot and it was a great experience.

To be completely honest with you I choose Gustavus because it was close to home. I was worried about being away from my family and friends and not knowing anyone. When I came to Gustavus for a visit I saw that it was like a small, well large family and I knew it was the place for me.

I am involved with a new group on campus called Females for Firearms. This is something I never could see myself doing in high school but when I went to college it was a chance to try new things and I am really enjoying the girls that I have met and all the new opportunities that I have available. I am also involved in the accounting club which is helping me to get a better idea of an accounting major will do for me after I graduate.

My favorite academic experience would probably be my American Novel class. I really enjoyed all the books we read in the class.

My favorite food would have to be the pumpkin bars from the bakery. Oh it is like heaven on a plate.

I interact with professors outside the classroom in different ways depending on the professor. Some professors have office hours that work with my schedule and some don’t. If I can't meet with them in person then I email them and they are very good about making a time to talk to them about your issues.

I really don't know. I guess my dream job would be to find a place that I am happy at and want to come to everyday.

My advice is to come to campus so you can really get a feel for it. If you have questions don't afraid to ask.

My favorite Gustavus tradition is probably traying. It was a blast and something fun to get you away from your schoolwork for a while.
