Becca Hormann
Junior, Psychology and Management double major
Jackson, MN

Life before Gustavus
In high school I played volleyball, and ran track, I also participated in math league and knowledge bowl.
Why did you choose Gustavus?
I liked the small town (still larger than home), it was only an hour from the cities, and it just seemed to fit.
Life at Gustavus
I am a captain for the women’s rugby team. I am in the Russian club, and I am also a member of Psi Chi.
What has been your favorite academic experience?
I have found my love for psychology. I really enjoyed many of the classes which I took. Another specific thing I loved was in OB we took the DISC test-I thought that was the best thing to do to learn about my strengths and weakness and how to improve them.
What is your favorite food in the Market Place?
I like meat and cheese nachos, the tortilla chips in a boat with the taco meat, and then the nacho cheese. Yum.
How do you interact with your professors outside the classroom?
I have had several meetings with Kathy Tunheim to discuss my majors and what I could possibly do in the future.
What advice would you give a prospective Gustie?
Get Involved. I wish I had been a part of more clubs and teams when I was a freshman. It is just such a great way to met people, and to learn more about yourself.
What is your favorite Gustavus tradition?
I love football games, especially with the new stadium.
