Life before Gustavus
Student government, intramural sports, social life
Why did you choose Gustavus?
I chose Gustavus because of the family legacy, and the community was very cohesive and close to what I had left at home.
Life at Gustavus
Building Bridges, Crossroads, SAE, and Model U.N. I have always been a very involved student on campus and know pretty much how everything works, because I like practical experience. What I am the most passionate about is the Building Bridges diversity conference because I have seen it grow into something so wonderful and it raises awareness in ways barely imaginable. It takes a spark to light a fire.
What has been your favorite academic experience?
Going to India and coming back has changed me in ways I would've never imagined. I am just a lot more considerate about things I wasn't aware of before.
What is your favorite food in the Market Place?
Tortellini with pesto sauce and dried tomatoes. A M A Z I N G.
How do you interact with your professors outside the classroom?
I am pretty close to my professors because I like to know how I am doing in a class.
What is your dream job?
Owning my own non-profit organization to help people get out of poverty.
What advice would you give a prospective Gustie?
Don't get TOO involved, it will hurt you. Don’t study TOO much, you might miss out. College is the best time in your life to form relationships and make lifelong friendships. Take advantage of it. Home will always be there waiting for you; let Gustavus be your new home.
What is your favorite Gustavus tradition?
The Gustie Rouser.
