Life before Gustavus
I loved to play basketball in high school. As a freshman, I was the only member of my class selected for the Citizenship Award.
Why did you choose Gustavus?
I have been around Gustavus a lot throughout my life, so it feels like home compared to other colleges.
Life at Gustavus
I am in Student Senate, PASO, and IM sports. I became involved in SS through a friend who was in it, PASO through friends that joined at the same time, and I always wanted to play IM sports. None of them take up much time, and I am most passionate about SS.
What has been your favorite academic experience?
My most memorable experience so far has been the homeless sleepout for my Politics of Homelessness class.
What is your favorite food in the Market Place?
My favorite food in the Market Place is Teriyaki chicken.
How do you interact with your professors outside the classroom?
I have gone to a professor's house for dinner and have visited with my professors several times.
What is your dream job?
If I could do anything I would run an interest group to make positive changes in our society. Realistically, I want to become a business psychologist.
What advice would you give a prospective Gustie?
Go to the college you feel most comfortable in. If it feels like home, you will have no problem living there for four years.
What is your favorite Gustavus tradition?
Going to hockey games.
