January Interim Experience ("J-Term") differs from the regular semester in two principal ways:
- its brief length-- approximately four weeks; and,
- the immersion of students and faculty in one subject for that time period.
Because of these differences, January Interim Experience provides ways to enrich and expand upon the College's regular semester curricular offerings, with:
- courses that are innovative, experimental, and/or interdisciplinary
- international study
- experiential learning
- independent studies
- institutional exchanges
