  • Q:   What is the academic calendar? Do you have J-term?
  • A:   Gustavus uses the 4-1-4 calender: 4 classes for 4 months in the fall, 1 class for 1 month during "J-term," and 4 classes for 4 months during the spring. The January interim period gives Gustavus flexiblity to take courses that couldn't be taught during a semester, to explore careers, or to study abroad.
