- Q: Can I have a car on campus?
- A: Any Gustavus student can apply for a parking permit (about $120 per year and available on a first-come, first-served basis during new student orientation). However, in the past, only about one-third of the first-year class have applied for a permit. Most students borrow a friend's car, carpool, use the free Weekend Shuttle, or take the Land to Air Express shuttle that goes to the Twin Cities airport four times daily. Each Express trip costs $15 and students can easily access the Mall of America, the Metrodome, and downtown Minneapolis from the airport using the Hiawatha Light Rail line.
