  • Q:   Is there a first-year student orientation program?
  • A:   Yes. It begins four days before the first day of classes. The goal of the orientation program is to help first-year students make the transition from high school to college easier. First-year students are put into groups where they interact with people from many different backgrounds and get to know the campus. Each orientation group is led by an upperclassman and the group participates in many activities including discussing the Reading-in-Common book.
