- Q: Is there a religious affiliation here? What types of religious activities and organizations are offered? Is there daily chapel? Is attendance voluntary?
- A: Gustavus is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America as the College was founded by Swedish Lutheran immigrants. There are many religious organizations on campus-- both Lutheran and non-Lutheran. Some examples include Gustavus Youth Outreach, Prepare Ministries, and Taizé. There is a daily, ecumenical chapel program from 10:00 to 10:20 a.m. weekdays and attendance is voluntary.
