What are your professional/work interests?
My professional interests center on making good matches between students and Gustavus.  Although it sounds like an oxymoron, I am especially interested in the role of technology in making the admission process more personal.

What is your best college search tip?
Ask questions. Sometimes people expect you to have all the answers while you are not even sure of the questions! Email me to request a laundry list of questions, and remember to include your mailing address.

What are your most recent professional/work projects?
Implementing our new personalized web site for admission visitors has been my newest project.  In addition, I am exciting to be beginning a 3-year term on the NACAC Technology Committee.

What do you learn from interacting with Gustavus students?
The most important thing I learn is what students are actually doing-- both inside and outside of the classroom.  I've been lucky to work with some of our current students who have been involved with Habitat for Humanity.  That's been a great connection!

What do you value most about working at Gustavus?
Working with extraordinary people at an extraordinary place!

What are your hobbies?
I read, knit, walk, bike, bake, cross country ski...

How have you been involved in your community?
First Lutheran Church, from Sunday School Teacher to Church Council Vice-President.  VINE Faith in Action Board of Directors.  Habitat for Humanity Chapter Board Officer and South Central Minnesota HfH Board Member.

What is your favorite Gustavus tradition?
Hello Walk.  Saying "Hello" to everyone you meet on a specific sidewalk on campus. (Not to be confused with Hello Wok, the stir-fry area of the Market Place, our student dining service!)
