Residence Hall Tour |
A. Your appointment will be confirmed by June 4 for a specific day and time for advising and registration. Session days and times are not interchangeable. If you miss your time, you will NOT be able to join the next session. However, information sessions CAN be attended at any time of the day.
B. You will meet with one other student and a faculty member to go over your
preparation and thoughts about courses and to register for 3.75-4.8 courses. You
will learn how your registration begins your progress towards your BA degree.
C. While you are registering, your family will meet with the Student Affairs staff to talk
about transition issues, what to expect this summer and first semester, etc. If they are
not finished with their session by the time you are finished registering, you can do the
following:
1. Go to the Dining Service Office to have your photo taken for your ID card and the student directory.
2. Stop at the “One Stop Forms Shop” where Financial Aid and Student Accounts Staff will be available to receive paperwork and discuss aid, loans, student employment, payment plans, etc. A notary will also be available.
3. Buy Chinese Lessons, the Reading In Common book for first-year students, to discuss during Orientation. Books will be on sale in the BookMark.
There will be information about campus technology, study abroad opportunities, health service, transition issues, and more offered throughout the day.
