Paying Your Deposit

Timeline
First year students can still deposit, while limited space is available.. Financial aid, housing, and class registration are available, but housing and class registration priority are determined by when we receive your deposit. Accepting your deposit depends on available space in our first-year class. *Students intending to transfer to Gustavus have until August to make their final decision.
Deposit
Receipt of your deposit signals your official intention to enroll at Gustavus, so you should send your $300 non-refundable enrollment deposit as soon as you're certain Gustavus is the right college fit. If you've chosen another college, please notify the Admission Office.
By Credit Card
You can pay your enrollment deposit using a credit card -- Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover. There’s no additional charge to do this (for your initial deposit only, Gustavus will pay the convenience fee for you). To pay by credit card, you will need your Gustavus ID number. It can be found in your admission letter, on the "deposit ticket" in your admission packet, or on your financial aid award. You can also request your ID number by emailing admission@gustavus.edu or calling 1-800-GUSTAVUS. Future payments to Gustavus can be made using Mastercard, American Express or Discover—not Visa—but you will be charged a 2.75% convenience fee. By Electronic Transfer
Using your account and routing numbers from a checking or savings account, you can pay your enrollment deposit online. For this, you will also need your Gustavus ID number (see paragraph above). To pay by electronic transfer, click here or the credit card graphic above.
By Check
No response card is needed to mail a deposit check, although a “deposit ticket” was included in the admission packet and financial aid award folder. Be sure your name is listed on the check's Memo line. Please make the check payable to Gustavus Adolphus College and mail it using the pre-paid envelope included with the deposit ticket.
Next Steps
